In this role you will work within a home-based registered childminder setting. This means that your place of work will be in the Childminders house rather than a commercial Nursery setting. The Childminder accepts Children from babies up until they are ready for School. You will work as part of a very small and friendly close-knit team.

  • Assisting with planning activities
  • Supervising the children during play time
  • Assisting with mealtimes
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Facilitating outdoor play
  • Providing feedback to parents

You will receive the following training:

Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • This is a work-based qualification with College attendance required once per month.

The starting salary is £137.60 weekly for 32 hours Various shifts between the opening hours of 7:30am-4:30pm.

The apprenticeship will run for 16 months, starting on Monday, 29 November 2021. Applications close on Friday, 19 November 2021.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week)

Maths & English Grade 4/C is desirable but if you do not have this then you must be willing to continue with Maths and English functional skills

On successful completion of the initial apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity to progress into a permanent role.
