A specialist role within the corporate department, to ensure case management is efficient and compliant whilst adhering to all company procedures and standards.

Progress the administration of each case through to closure, dealing with all areas of case management including:

  • Deal with the Director / Shareholder and connected third parties
  • Identify, secure and realise assets
  • Identify when to instruct solicitors and agents when assistance is required and liaise with them accordingly
  • Draft appropriate reports and convene statutory and remuneration meetings
  • Draft Statement of Affairs and outcome statements
  • Suggest billing opportunities to the Manager
  • Review financial information and bank statements in order to conduct finance reviews
  • Complete VAT and tax returns, where necessary
  • Deal with creditor claims and arrange dividends when required. Agree creditors’ claims and propose dividend ready for review by the Manager
  • Review books, records and bank statements with the assistance of a senior member of staff
  • Conduct thorough investigations. Have the ability to identify potential transactions that could be challenged by the Office Holder(s) and seek advice from the Manager as to how to proceed
  • In the event the company is trading, attend premises and assist Manager where necessary. Be able to deal with employees and suppliers. Assist third parties to ensure assets are secured
  • Identify whether company operates a pension scheme and report accordingly;

Conclude case:

  • Ensure all statutory obligations of the Office Holder(s) are met.
  • Deal with day to day written correspondence
  • Deal with telephone enquiries varying in complexity
  • Input and maintain accurate data within relevant software
  • Maintain filing on manual and electronic case file
  • Draft necessary letters and reports
  • Completion of correct banking and cheque request forms etc in order to ensure that estate monies are handled and dealt with correctly
  • Maintain diary and daily tasks utilising the relevant software
  • Maintain records of chargeable time spent on case work
  • Attend and assist at meetings both in and out of the office when required
  • Participate in internal and external marketing events when required
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external professionals
  • Ensure all cases are compliant in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Assist with all ad hoc activities as requested by Manager
  • Achieve all KPI and personal objectives agreed with respective Manager on a quarterly basis
  • Attend internal or external training events
  • Identifying clients’ needs and referring appropriately
  • Adopt and act according to company policies
  • Required to assist less experienced members of the same team

You will receive the following training:

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard

This is a work based qualification with College attendance required once per month.

The starting salary is £161.25 weekly for 37.5 hours Office opening hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. It is possible to work flexible working hours as long as the 7 ½ hours daily requirement is completed..

The apprenticeship will run for 18 months, starting on Monday, 17 January 2022. Applications close on Friday, 07 January 2022.
